About The Consulate
Located in the former Consulado de Uruguay, The Consulate is a creative, one-of-a-kind learning space dedicated to offering high-quality, personalised English language classes. We combine tradition, innovation, and a passion for teaching in an inspiring environment you won’t find anywhere else.
The truth is, we still don’t have that many good pictures — it’s a work in progress! But we hope to have it ready very soon.

Hi!
I’m Ben, the founder and lead teacher at The Consulate.
I’ve been teaching English for over 10 years, and in that time I’ve helped students of all ages and levels gain confidence, pass important exams, and fall in love with the language.
My approach is practical, fun, and flexible — I believe in real communication, in building trust, and in making sure every student feels heard and supported.
After years of teaching in different academies, I wanted to create a space that felt more personal, more inspiring, and a lot more human. That’s how The Consulate was born.
When I’m not teaching, you might find me playing music, reading, or just enjoying a coffee and a good conversation — probably in several languages.
